Matching Signs

We all have a sun sign which corresponds with our birth date so for example if you were born 25th March then your sun sign is Aries. Aries is a fire sign and reknowned for being firey, hot headed and impulsive. So then which sign is suited to the firey aries?

You could say that perhaps a fiery Aries would be highly compatible with another Aries or even a Leo or Saggitarian because they are also fire signs. Being a fire sign does not automatically make you fierey so would a Leo or Saggitarian be tolerant of the firey and impulsive Arian.

The truth is that not all Aries are firey and impulsive and this is because we have more than one sign that dictates our personality and traits. We also have a moon sign and this rules our emotions and how we deal with our emotions. So for example a Cancerian who is ruled by the moon may be prone to moods are Cancerians often are; and this applies also if your moon is in Cancer. So how does an Aries sun with a moon in Cancer behave when upset? Well they are likely to go and hide rather than confront and they will have the tendancy to bottle up their feelings and explode at a later date!

We then have our ascendant sign and this is how we appear to people so let us say that we are the Aries with the Cancer moon and our ascendant is in Leo. In this case we would appear and act very bold and others may see us as being a confident and quite ruthless type of character. Remember however that the ascendant is not how we actually are hence we are typically Arian with Cancerian emotions and all that appears to be is not what it seems! This can be very confusing and the whole situation proposes a conflict of personalities and traits rolled into one. However, this is filtered further and is broken down into what astrologers call “houses”, each house representing another category or area for example the 11th house refers to friendship and the 7th house to marriage.

So if you have an Aries and let us say for example an Aquarian who have the same house in the same moon sign for example, let us say that they both have a piscies moon in the 11th house; the chances are they could become very good friends indeed simply through being able to relate to each others emotions. It goes on and on and becomes very involved and it is easy to become lost as astrology is so complex and simply cannot be worked on just using sun signs to match one person to another.

When you read your horoscope in the newspaper, magazine or other media which will give you a daily or perhaps in some cases a monthly forecast, then this is what I would call a general forecast for everyone born under a particular sign. So it may apply to a number of Aries but not all Aries.

Personality and Astrology

It has always been interesting to learn what people think of their own personal astrology charts and moreso in those who are totally unconvinced by the whole thing. Men generally have a tendancy to ridicule astrology and pass it off as being a woman thing however when I have produced their own personal report for their perusal, they have swayed to the “oh well, maybe there is something in it then!”.

This is not to say that we are trying to convince or convert people into believing in astrology, it is simply another way of learning about who we are and where we are going.

I remain open minded about the subject of astrology and feel that anything is possible!
